Steamed fish is an easy to make at home dish. It is also a better choice of healthy eating. Usually, I like to cook porridge with some simple dish for my lunch during my day off. Steamed fish is my number one choice most of the time. If you followed my blog, you will find that I like to eat porridge. You may check out my recipe for century egg and salted egg porridge. Dark soy sauce pork belly is another simple dish that very nice to serve with porridge.

In my recipe, I use the red snapper fillet. You may use other kind of fish at your preference. For example, you may use cod fish or pomfret fish. If you like, you may add some dried shiitake mushrooms. With the shallot oil it gives you a very nice aromatic flavor to your steamed fish. You may replace it with sesame oil. Hope you like this. Enjoy!
